I have a great secret that I will only tell you because you are such a close friend. I close my eyes. ;)
I like the "close your eyes" idea. My house is never clean. Now my sister is a neat freak and she always says her house isn't clean when it really is always clean. Me not so much. I'm addicted to stuff. So I have clutter everywhere. And, that is what I'm working on: getting rid of junk.
I have the best remedy to a clean house! Get rid of your kids and husband!
I knew these were the answers I would get. :-) That's why I love you guys! It makes me feel like maybe I am not so bad.
However, I did the shiny sink thing today and I LOVE it!!! So, we will see...
I have tried to do flylady in the past, but it didn't 'stick'. I'd be willing to try it again, except I'm still trying to get Motivated Moms to work ... one thing at a time for me. Good luck with it, though!
My kids and I have been doing a '10-minute tidy' each evening as part of our bedtime routine. (Sometimes I set the timer for 20 minutes because I know we'll need the extra time, but they don't know that.) We turn on fun music really loud, and they have to go through the house and pick up anything they don't want to see disappear by the morning. It's working and it's actually pretty fun!
You go fly girl! If you need some extra practice I've got the perfect home for you!
I assign myself one to two things a day and that's for the deep cleaning. Mondays, I vacuum and do laundry, Tuesdays I iron and dust, etc. That way I don't make myself crazy by wiping everything down every day, it makes quick pick up easier and I know every thing is essentially clean and then I give myself time off for the rest of the day once the daily chores are done.
I am a flylady drop out- I did like the shiny sink but it's not so shiny anymore- good luck!
