This blog is my scrapbook. I have printed years 2007-2011 in one big book. So, if I should pass away, there is a record of parts of our life. :-) There is proof that we existed. I am happy with that! I would like to keep this going, and I am going to accept that I will never be "perfect" at blogging. I enjoy writing about the experiences we have as a family, but I don't necessarily enjoy the writing part. It takes too long to get the thoughts out of my head and they don't always sound as pretty as I would like them to. I will keep blogging whenever I feel the desire and hope it's often enough to keep the record going.
I have spent a lot of my life getting frustrated by the things that are hard for me. As a person with ADHD, and a stay at home mom trying to organize not only my life, but the life of 4 little people and an awesome husband, there are a lot of things that are difficult. I don't let myself get discouraged for too long, I just try again. I am definitely not a quitter. I had an epiphany today though. Every time something doesn't work out because it is not the best solution, does not mean that I have "failed." Dallin uses the word "fail" a lot and I have been wondering why it bugs me so much. It is because "fail" is final. I refuse to believe in fail, but sometimes I act as though I have failed instead of moving forward and accepting that I need to try a new way. :-)
I am fascinated by the experiment of life. We are all given unique talents, abilities, and weaknesses. It is up to us to use them to help each other along the way and to learn and grow.
I am grateful for the people in my life who have helped make me who I am. Family, friends, strangers, all have contributed. I am grateful for the experiences I have had and look forward to many more experiments of life.
Here are a couple of teaser pictures from our summer.

Lots of baseball and softball!
Probably my favorite sports moment ever.

Stayed on an island...
Then got a bonus trip to New York...
On the 4th of July!
We got back on July 5th and it has been just enjoying the summer. We had the trip of a lifetime to Brazil and someday I hope to write up the details. For now, I am home with 2 sick kids and I am going back to my organizing experiments. Remember, they are not failures. I just keep finding new ways of doing things.
