Memory Post

I am so excited about this. (So don't let me down- no pressure!)

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

This will be fun!

Just one!!! Wow! That's going to be hard...in fact I don't think I can do it!! So here you go....Chicago concert, Lake Mead summer trip where I taught you how to waterski (I've created a monster!), Jr. High, High School, your house late night (ok, all night) talks, my house ditto, but I think my favorite is Glendora dance July 1996 where you introduced me to the love of my life!! I'm so glad you talked me into going! Love ya Kel! You'll always be my BFF!

We had such a great freshman year, didn't we? Phase 10, going to see the Garrens, staying up late and talking, those were the good old days!! I am totally up for a girl's reunion that would be really fun.

My only memory of you in person is sitting in the Benson building while you and Ellen did homework. Fun!

I was so excited to meet you "in person" in April when we had our Marathon Mommy meet up. Even through a computer your wonderfulness shines through. You are one of the kindest people I've met...not to mention one of the most positive and up-lifting!! Meeting you in person was exactly the same.

I have to ditto what Rachael said. And I remember moving into your apartment at the Glenwood and you and Leah introduced me to all of those "older guys" and I was so intimidated, but pretty stinkin' excited cause I think I had a crush on practically every single one of those boys.

You were teaching Kids' Gym and you were so good with my 'less-than-enthusiastic' Connie. And for weeks and weeks we chatted and didn't find out each other were LDS for a few sessions. How funny looking back on that. And then one Saturday morning I was out running alone training for my marathon and I passed by your big group of friends out running (going the opposite direction, not passing like I was faster) and you took the time to say hello and after that you were SO encouraging of my marathon dreams, even though at that point we were not as good of friends. And now (this is the last one, I promise), I appreciate your support of my weekly appointments that are helping me so much, even if it means we don't get as much time to sit on the deck and chat because one of us is always leaving to go somewhere. But it's great to be able to trade kids around like that!

Okay, here's a memory--you may not want me to share it, though! We were at the beach with Lisa and Brittany, etc., and we had just gone out to dinner. You were talking about how sometimes you get frustrated because you didn't feel like you had any "talents," and I remember being really frustrated with YOU because as I see it, you have so very many talents! You definitely have a talent for friendship and also for making those around you feel comfortable. Probably because of these traits, you are very involved in your community and bring so much service to those around you! You are kind-hearted and non-judgemental, and you also are too smart for words. I could go on and on...! Now, if those aren't talents that count, this is a really screwy world we live in! (I hope I didn't embarrass you too much, Kel!)

I remember the first day that Jeff brought his girl friend home from the Y. I was immediately struck by how friendly and out-going you were. I remember shopping spree's where we had so much fun and Of course what could be better than the family trip to San Diego and fun reception. I could go on and on... but thanks for being one of my precious daughter-in-laws and for being the wonderful mother of 3 beautiful grandchildren. I love you!
