Hi Friends! Well, if you are checking here, I am guessing you received our Christmas card. This first picture is our most recent family picture, taken just a few days before Dallin left for Guatemala to serve a mission by the amazing Kamry Milne! The rest of the pictures were saved in reverse order and I am too tired to fix them so I will give a quick rundown. First of all, I always need to update where we live. We stayed in Utah. When we found out my mom was sick, we decided to stay and help her through her cancer. Unfortunately the cancer took her very quickly and we lost her on April 16, 2021. It is truly a devastating loss to our family and all of the lives she has touched. I will do another post just on her. In the aftermath of that loss, we still felt the right decision was to stay with family here. We are so grateful we had extra time with her during the last 8 months of her life. If we hadn't moved to Utah, we would have missed out on those precious memories. Many of them are shown in these pictures.
Nutcracker with Emily. We have missed this tradition. Or at least, I have. :-)
Finally got Caden to play a game of Settlers (AFTER Dallin left for his mission!) and he won!
Jeff and Kelly had a date night to see Jim Gaffigan. It was fun to laugh. We also went to dinner with Shelly and Nate.
Caden and his buddy Jamison went to Elf Jr. with me and the live Nativity. Jeff was a shepherd but I did not take a pic!
We love seeing pics of Dallin in Guatemala. Here is is with his companion.
Harold came to visit and we took him to Ogden Christmas Village and Caden saw Santa!
Movie night at Caden's school.
Christmas Eve pajamas done early before Dallin left.
Saying goodbye to Dallin was much harder than even expected. We are so happy for him and that he is willing to share the Gospel.
Lots of training online, pickleball, temple and game nights. We have loved having him home for 6 weeks!
We saw Sister Ramos at Temple Square. Loved having these 2 missionaries and good friends share their experiences with each other!
Thankful Thanksgiving run with Marnie! I am thankful she stayed with me!!
Went to see premier of Funny About Love Movie.
