6 Things and Spread the Love

Wow, Leah, this whole post is inspired by you. (Leah is one of my favorite people from college!)Thanks for giving me something to write about on Day 3. I am sure all of you know how tagging works, but here's the info, just in case.

The rules of the game should be posted at the beginning of the post. Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

Here are 6 things about me:

1. I must have been left out as a kid because I feel complete responsibility that everyone is included. (and I do mean everyone!) If I know of anything "cool" that is happening I make sure to spread the word. If I forget someone, I feel horrible. I started a playgroup at the church so that anyone who wants to come is invited. It is a lot of pressure that no one puts on me except myself.

2. I still bite my nails. I really thought I had broken this habit when I stopped biting my nails before my sister's wedding. I was 8 months pregnant and couldn't control the way my figure looked, so I focused on something I could control. I went about 5 months(which is the longest I have ever gone) and then Harry Potter 7 came out. I was a goner...no more nails...

3. I LOVE kids! I teach a kids gym class at the YMCA and I truly enjoy it. I would have a lot of kids, if all I had to do was play and cuddle with them. Unfortunately, there is also feeding, clothing, bathing, discipling, and organizing. Oh yeah, and then you need to keep the house clean also. I am not as good at those aspects.

4. I am an all-or-nothing type of person. I give 100% or I give nothing. This can be really good, but it also can be really bad. When it comes to cleaning, I get frustrated that it can't all be done at the same time, so I give nothing sometimes. It also means I give my heart completely and in so doing am hurt more easily.

5. I LOVE most sports and I am grateful that I am healthy enough to participate, but I am not really good at any of them. I feel like I can hold my own, and that is about it. The good news is, I really enjoy pushing myself, learning, and seeing progress.

6. Seeing Princesses on Ice today was just as much for me as it was for Emily. I think Jeff figured that out about halfway through. I love musicals, I can sing every word to every Disney movie. Emily and I dance around a lot singing princess songs. (Shhh, don't tell anyone.)

Spread the Love

Okay, it is almost midnight (really) so I will make this quick. If you comment on this blog I will post 3 things that I like about you. (If I don't know you very well and you post I promise I will read your blog and I know I will find 3 things I like about you!) I will admit I found much satisfaction when I commented on Leah's blog. Thanks for spreading the love!!

PS

I will put pictures up later. I am tired...

Oh, and by the way, I tag Valerie (and I just saw you tagged me to the 8-I will do that another day), Emilini, Stephanie, and Amy. I know that's not 6, but again, I am tired.

Yippee, you made it. And just under the wire. And you gave me homework.

I'll do it tomorrow. Tonight I am working on the to do list of last summer.

Yeah, Amy, I get to spread the love before I go to bed. (And I guess I should spread the love there too, ha ha!!)

3 things I love about Amy:(one of my newest friends from a local bookgroup.)

1. Your obvious love of your children. You seem to truly enjoy them, and that is such a great example for all of us.

2. Your honesty. I have always felt I can believe anything you say. (Now don't go using that against me!) You admit your weaknesses, but you are also proud of the things you accomplish.

3. Your intelligence. I enjoy listening to what you have to say about the books we read, and anything else the topic meanders to. I enjoy hearing things from your perspective, and you are always so respectful of what others have to say.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I am going to bed now. :-)

Kelly,I know over the years (and that's a lot of years!) it may have seemed like we were very different people, but after reading your post I can say that now I know why we will always remain "best friends forever!" We are more alike than I ever realized!!

Hey, that's great incentive for me to comment, though I found your blog yeaterday and earmarked it as a blog I want to keep "track" of and I was already about to comment...Very intrigued that you're a mom and like to run. I have never run, thought I could never run, and now thinking of running the 10k Boulder Bolder in May. Anyway, come and see me and my daughter at sweetlifewithmary.com
P.S. Found you through Nablo's randomizer last night...

Valerie!! This will be fun(We have been bff since I was 12):

1. You are loyal to the end. Anyone who is your friend is lucky to have you on their side. You stuck by by my side even in high school when I was struggling to find out who I was. (Still am!) I don't know if I would have stuck by my own side!

2. You are a great decorator. (Something we definitely DO NOT have in common.) I love seeing all the cute things you do in your house. All starting with your sunflower bedroom.

3. You are a great mom. You have been my example for 10 years. It has been great watching you and learning from you. Your kids are so lucky!

Love ya Val Val!

Andrea(LCM)- yeah!

1. Your example of service. As long as I have known you, you are always offering to watch children, bring meals, help wherever needed- quietly.

2 Easy friendship- Starting in the foyer in church when Fiona would steal cheerios from Dallin, I have always felt comfortable and happy around you. I wish our lives' paths would have crossed more often, but I am grateful to call you my friend, and I look forward to strengthening our friendship through the blogosphere.

3. Your strength. I am amazed at your faithfulness, optimism, and attitude through your trials. I need to learn more of this from you.

Mary's Mom- Hello and welcome! I love getting to know new people, especially other moms. Here are the things that I read about you that intrigued me the most.

1. You are obviously in love with your daughter. You put her first no matter what. I love that!

2. You are proud of your heritage and you are trying to pass it on to your daughter. My dad is Cuban and I wish I knew more about it. That is one of the things I am really striving to learn as an adult. Your daughter will be so grateful that you are trying to help her identify with her ancestors.

3. You are a great cook! I know I haven't tried any of your food, but it looks delicious. Cooking is a skill that I am working on and I really admire those who already have that skill. When I am feeling brave, I would love to try some of your recipes.

Keep posting. I can't wait to learn more about you.

Do you want to leave a comment about all the things you love about me, or should I just call you? :)

And the clock is ticking... tick... tock... but no pressure, right? Where is your post for Sunday?? I know. Instead of writing a comment about all the things you love about me, how about you just make a whole POST about it! ;)

And I am running in the morning. And you?

Kelly(M&M) said...

Sarah! (Oops, I mean SuziePetunia) Where to start? Well, first of all, if you remember right, I did do a whole post dedicated to you. But here are a few more things.

1. I love that you came and cleaned my house on Wednesday. You knew that I was cuddling a sick kid, and you risked your own children's health to make me feel better. How sweet!

2. I love that there is no pretense between us. You have definitely seen me at my worst and hopefully you haven't seen me at my best yet. (Boston Baby!!)

3. I love the cute things you do with your family. I get to witness a lot of this. (Go team Giles, Giles Smiles, family scripture reading and prayer, cute art projects, Super Y costume, aprons for W and H (and me!)...okay way too many more to name. Don't you have a post dedicated to your creativity?! It needs to be reposted and updated!

No, I am not posting 9 things because you commented 3 times.

Yes, I am running in the morning...See ya there!

Hey Leah, I hope you see this!

1. You are freaking hilarious!! I was always laughing when I was around you.

2. You are committed to the gospel. Some of my most memorable conversations about the gospel are with you. I treasure those.

3. You are forgiving. Even when I am terrible at keeping in touch, you haven't given up on me! I am so glad we have blogs now!
